Family Support

15th November 2022

 Dear Parent/carer,

We are writing to reach out to all families to give you some information about local support services that include food banks, financial help, housing advice, and domestic abuse and mental health support.

The cost-of-living crisis is causing families to cut their budgets – many of which were already tight to begin with. We're also seeing that families who've never needed financial support before are desperate for it now. One small change can leave a family completely vulnerable.

Food insecurity, rising energy prices and the cost-of-living crisis are forcing families to make daily decisions that are impossible.

The rising prices we’re seeing today are overwhelming families such that it is becoming impossible for some parents to meet even the basic needs of their children.

As a pre-school we are here to support you as a family.

Please speak to your child’s key person if you are having any issues and they may be able to help point you in the right direction for support.

The  two information sheets, the first on the Cost-of-Living and the second on Information and support available in Amber Valley are being sent home over the next few days.

Kind regards

Lynda Wardle and Staff
