Ofsted Inspection
We are very pleased to tell you that Ofsted rated
us as Good in our recent inspection
on the 16th April.
The report highlighted that the children are
cared for in a well –resourced, high quality environment. All children make good progress at the Pre
School and staff have a good understanding of how children learn and a secure
knowledge of all areas of learning and development needs.
Three areas were highlighted by Ofsted to further
improve to work to outstanding, which we will work on over the coming year.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank
all the staff and committee for all their hard work, particularly over the last
year, to help us achieve this excellent result.
Pre
School Trip To Wheelgate Theme Park 17th June
Don’t forget to fill in the slip at the bottom
of the form, stating how many people are going, and if you are going on the
coach and then return it with the money to Pre School by the 5th
June. Places on the coach are on a first come first served basis. Fingers
crossed for a lovely sunny day!

Do
you have a couple of hours to spare each month, to come along and help your
child’s Pre School? We always need
parents to join one or both of our committees; lots of members will be leaving
in September and it’s a great opportunity to get involved.
It’s
a great way to meet new people, perhaps to learn a new skill and to help in
your community. Ask a member of staff if
you are interested.
Getting
ready for school
By
now you will all know which school your child will be attending in September.
In
order to help them get ready for the transition to big school it is important
you help them gain some independence. Please can you let them practise putting
on their own shoes, and coats, and to use their cutlery independently at meals
times? This will be a huge benefit to your child when they start school.
Over
the last 2 weeks the teachers and Teaching assistants from reception have been
on a few visits to Pre School to meet the children. You will soon be receiving
your letter from school detailing the dates and times of your visits. Swanwick
Primary School uniform is available for you to check sizes before you place an
order.
